How the calculation works

Enter the required parameters and submit the form. The calculator validates the values, performs the calculation on the server and returns a detailed result.

The calculation is processed for the current HTTP request and does not require registration.

Annuity and declining-balance loan schedules

For an annuity loan: A = P × i × (1 + i)^n / ((1 + i)^n − 1). For a declining-balance schedule, principal is divided across the term and interest is charged on the actual outstanding balance.

Example

After each early repayment, the calculator reduces outstanding principal and then either shortens the term or recalculates future payments according to the selected strategy. Fees and insurance are tracked as separate cash flows.

Questions and answers

What does overpayment include?

Interest, fees and insurance are shown separately, together with total cash paid compared with the amount actually borrowed.

Can I model bank fees and insurance?

Yes. You can enter one-time and monthly fees, one-time and monthly insurance, and optionally finance the one-time insurance into the loan principal.

How are early repayments handled?

You can enter recurring extra payments and one-off repayments by month, then choose whether they reduce the term or future payment amount.
